WINDWARD BEACHES Bay de Saint-Jean: Ideal beach for both parents and children. Good spot for windsurfing and water-sports. Restaurants on the beach. Anse de Marigot: Ideal mooring for small pleasure craft, calm beach sheltered from the wind.   Anse de Lorient: Ideal for swimming. Good spot for surfing and bodysurfing. Anse Marechal: Magnificent palm trees and fine sand. Anse de Grande Saline: Beach of exceptionally wild beauty.

Washing Machine: Nickname given by St.Barts residents. Impressive breakers for bodysurfing pass. Access via Grand Fond Beach: 10 mn walk along Chemin Douanier.

La Petite Anse: Lovely underwater landscape for scuba diving. Anse des Flamands: One of the prettiest white sand beaches.
