History: Built by the Cherman family, the resort was completed in only nine months, opening in August 1987 with 30 guest rooms. First year occupancy necessitated an almost immediate expansion of 10 additional guest rooms, as well as expanded dining and entertainment facilities and poolside. Eight years later, another 30 rooms added on 3 1/2 acres of adjoining land. At the same time, the existing 40 rooms were refurbished and all central facilities were expanded and upgraded.
