Beaches of St.Maarten/St.Martin
Open on the atlantic Ocean or the Caribbean Sea, Saint Martin beaches will amaze you by their diversity.
They each have a point in common: the water is idyllically clear and hovers around 27°C all year around, fulfilling the promise of tropical vacation images.
37 different beaches to choose from, each with its own distinctive attractions.
Orient Bay:
With its hotels right on the beach or overlooking the bay with an extraordinary view on the ocean and the island of St.Barts, Green Cay, Pinel and Tintamarre, Orient Beach is certainly the largest and the most animated beach on St. Martin. Here every water-sport awaits you: windsurf, sailing, water and jet ski, diving, and you will find many different little restaurants offering a variety in refined, exotic or traditional cuisine.
Grand Case Beach:
Here you can sample grilled specialities everyday in the "lolos", or roadside snack shacks on the edge of the beach with grilled lobsters on Sundays.
Nettle Bay:
Long bay stretching from the Limestone Point at the Bell Creole lined with hotels, as far as Sandy Ground bridge.
Baie Rouge:
Close to Marigot and with an easy access, this beach is surrounded by a beautiful setting, with a small creek, more intimate, located below the cliffs on the east side of the bay.
Friar's Bay:
The beach well protected from the swells is, during the day, an ideal beach for families. The beach restaurants organize theme nights, Barbecues... Not to be missed, especially on the night of the full moon.
Cupecoy:
Has become the strong hold of nudists. A string of tiny beaches are dotted along the edge of ochre colored cliffs, wonderful at sun set.
Dawn Beach:
White sandy beach and extraordinary sea water colors. Very beautiful depths on the coral reefs. Super view of the windward coast from the access road.
